The Brief
Seven distinguished photographers turn their lenses on specific infrastructure and public-space buildings belonging to the project owner. Each photographer worked from a particular instruction as to the approach through which they would stage their shots: each was given a pair of words — of concepts — as guidance.

Our design
We developed an extensive, slender space frame, set into the venue in order to organise the structure of the exhibition while at the same time shaping the positions from which the photographic material is presented. A notional space within the wider space — an almost immaterial pavilion.
The installation forms the common design language of the entire exhibition, independent of the particularities of each position, of each micro-environment created for each photographer. The space frame develops at a scale answering to the size of the venue — a scale then followed by the arrangement of the photographic material and by the remaining interventions.
At the centre of the space a common ground is also created, a meeting point that acts as one more landmark within the exhibition of landmarks of connection.
The extensive space frame shapes individual sub-spaces for the presentation of each photographer: a "neighbourhood", a particular approach, a micro-environment, a small experience. At the same time a central route is formed — the main street along which the individual spaces are articulated, the street leading to the common meeting ground.
The “Landmarks of Connection” exhibition at the former Public Tobacco Factory received the Grail 2026 Award in the Exhibition Spaces category.
